Australian warranty cover and local support
DryFlush Australia manages Australian warranty claims locally, with manufacturer warranty replacement parts held here in Australia. Eligible customers do not need to contact the US manufacturer or arrange an overseas return.
5 year personal use warranty
For toilets purchased on or after 1 November 2026:
- Personal and recreational use: Standard 5 year manufacturer warranty from the original retail purchase date, including eligible NDIS personal use.
- Commercial use: Standard 2 year warranty from the original retail purchase date.
- Included rechargeable battery: Separate 12 month warranty provided by DryFlush Australia for both personal and commercial use. The battery is excluded from the toilet’s 5 year and 2 year warranty periods.
The toilet warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms below. No paid extension is required for the standard 5 year personal use warranty.
Personal use includes a privately used caravan, boat, tiny home or bedside toilet. Funding through an NDIS plan manager does not by itself make an individual participant’s personal use commercial. Commercial use includes toilets provided in the course of a business, such as workplaces, mining and rail operations, hire fleets, paid accommodation and shared commercial facilities. If you are unsure which cover applies, contact us before purchase.
Purchases before 1 November 2026
The new warranty periods apply to toilets purchased on or after 1 November 2026. Earlier purchases retain the warranty and any separately purchased extension promised at the time of sale. This includes any more generous battery cover previously promised. Keep your original purchase and extended warranty records. Separately agreed supply terms and applicable Australian Consumer Law rights are preserved.
Who is covered
Australian customers who purchase through DryFlush Australia or a dealer supplied through DryFlush Australia are covered. For direct purchases, provide your order details or other reasonable proof of purchase. For dealer purchases, tell us which dealer or builder supplied your toilet and provide an invoice, receipt or other reasonable evidence so we can verify the purchase and date. The warranty starts on the customer’s original retail purchase date, not the date the dealer bought stock.
What the warranty covers
The toilet warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with the Australian user manual, for the applicable personal or commercial warranty period. It covers the main toilet housing, seat, lid, flush mechanism and internal components where the problem is caused by a covered defect.
For an approved claim under the voluntary warranty, we will repair or replace the defective part or unit. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law, including to a refund or other remedy in the case of a major failure, remain available where applicable.
Battery cover
For toilets purchased on or after 1 November 2026, DryFlush Australia provides a separate 12 month warranty for defects in the included rechargeable battery, whether the toilet is used personally or commercially. This is an additional Australian commitment administered directly by DryFlush Australia. You do not need to contact the battery supplier.
The included battery is excluded from the toilet’s standard 5 year personal use warranty and 2 year commercial warranty. Its separate 12 month warranty applies even if the supplied brand or model changes. Normal ageing and loss of capacity through ordinary use are not, by themselves, manufacturing defects; premature failure will be assessed on its circumstances and applicable consumer guarantees. Earlier battery cover promised at sale is preserved.
Previously purchased extended warranties
The former optional five year extension is no longer offered for new purchases. Valid extensions already purchased remain honoured under the terms promised at sale, including applicable battery and consumables exclusions. The new standard warranty does not cancel or reduce previously purchased cover.
Faulty consumables
Refill cartridges and Pee Powder are consumable products, so normal use and depletion are not covered by the toilet warranty. Faulty consumables, including a refill bag with a manufacturing split or Pee Powder damaged or opened in transit, should be reported to us with purchase details and photos where practical. We replace consumables assessed as faulty at no cost, without limiting any other remedy required by law.
For a faulty refill, we can add the replacement to your next order if you agree. Please remind us when placing that order so we can include it. You do not have to make another purchase to obtain a remedy: if you need a replacement sooner or are not planning another order, contact us to arrange a timely solution. We will also replace faulty or transit-damaged Pee Powder.
How to make a claim
Contact DryFlush Australia on 1800 844 962 or email kevin@dryflush.com.au. Provide your order details or other reasonable proof of purchase. If you purchased through a dealer, include the dealer’s name and your purchase evidence.
Describe the problem and include clear photos or a short video if practical. We will help assess the issue and identify the appropriate remedy. A photo or video is helpful, but is not a condition that removes your legal rights.
Follow the troubleshooting or fitting instructions we provide. Disconnect power before handling internal components. Stop using the toilet if continued use could cause damage or be unsafe.
Most replacement parts can be fitted by customers following our guidance, but you are not required to do so. If you cannot or prefer not to fit a part yourself, contact us so we can arrange an appropriate solution. Fitting a replacement part as we direct does not invalidate your warranty. Disconnect power before handling internal components.
Freight and faulty parts
DryFlush Australia pays freight within Australia for replacement parts supplied under an approved warranty claim. Faulty parts replaced under that claim do not need to be returned. Once we have confirmed the claim and advised that the part can be disposed of, remove and dispose of it appropriately. Batteries and electrical components should go to a suitable battery or e-waste collection service.
Please contact us before sending a toilet or arranging paid repair work. We will pay or reimburse reasonable costs required to resolve a valid claim under the voluntary warranty or where required by Australian Consumer Law. If a whole unit needs transport or another expense is required, we will explain the arrangements before you proceed. To request reimbursement, email your claim details and receipts to kevin@dryflush.com.au. Prior approval is requested to avoid unnecessary costs; it does not remove rights to reimbursement under applicable law.
Damage outside the voluntary warranty
The voluntary warranty does not cover normal wear, cosmetic deterioration, or damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, neglect, improper installation, failure to follow the manual, unsuitable power supplies, or unauthorised alterations or repairs. An accessory or repair does not automatically cancel all cover: an exclusion applies where it caused the problem being claimed.
The toilet is splash resistant, not waterproof. Damage caused by submersion, pooling water or exposure beyond its rated protection is excluded. Follow the Australian manual and our guidance for wet areas and protective covers.
These exclusions concern the voluntary warranty. They do not exclude remedies for a separate covered defect or any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits of this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available under Australian law. Those rights may continue after a stated warranty period ends, and may apply to commercial purchasers where the legal requirements are met. Neither the separate battery warranty nor the commercial warranty period limits those rights.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. A reference to repair or replacement under the voluntary warranty does not limit a statutory entitlement to a refund or compensation. Change-of-mind conditions and restocking fees do not apply to remedies required for faulty goods under Australian Consumer Law.
